This is a bit of a placeholder post but I just moved over from Pillowfort. For all the folks from Pillowfort I use the same username everywhere though you may just recognize my food stuff by the tag 'mabmadefood'

I'm a 40 year old lady who was born in New York, took a couple detours, and ended up somehow in Estonia.

I mainly post about my recipes and weekly food, reviews of movies that you will never watch, reflections on learning Estonian, and daily journal stuff.

My brain is an absolute mess because of all the upheaval and I still don't know if Dreamwidth will really become a viable place for me to post. It feels almost embarrassing to admit that after 15 years of like buttons and hearts it is incredibly hard for me to expend the effort to comment on things but I am also aware of what shouting into a void without any type of feedback is like. It eventually was one of the reasons I left Livejournal. Not that anything I've ever done has attracted a ton of attention but knowing people are at least witnessing you a little does do something to keep you going.

I say that but I've been posting recipes to my website for literally 20 years with basically zero traction or feedback from anyone. Hell I've made TWO free cookbooks and it's like, well, maybe someone used them once! Maybe!

I don't know if that means my whole life is sad or if that's just normal since I think the average amount of people who post regularly on the internet is shockingly smaller than you think even for people posting like, once a week on Facebook/Insta/Twitter etc. I moderated enough sites to know most people sign up and never return. Anyway...

Kumu desperately desired the enchiladas of course. He really likes beans for reasons that are beyond me. He likes cheese for the normal reasons.

Just trying to test out cross posting between lots of things. Not jumping ship at all yet but I wanted to see what dreamwidth was like.
